SDN WoolloomoolooChildren’s Education and Care Centre, the oldest SDN centre, opened in 1905 but has been in its current location since 1920. The centre is located in a quiet corner of Woolloomooloo. The centre is licensed for 90 children, with six separate rooms providing intimate spaces to learn and grow. The centre’s Educators are four university trained Early Childhood Teachers, four TAFE qualified diploma staff and 10 experienced Child Care Workers. Five of these Educators are currently advancing their qualifications externally through TAFE or university. Our Educators use a variety of languages – including German, Spanish, Chinese and Bengali – with the children on a daily basis.
